What's on my study playlist?

Real quick one today.

Music.

I'm one of those people who has headphones on at least 75% of the day (no exaggeration), and I spend more time than I'd like to admit hoarding music into my iTunes library. That being said, I have a playlist for just about any mood I'm capable of feeling. Pre-work out, work out, post work out, sleepytime, thinkytime, rainy day, sunny day, bike riding music, walking around school trying to be a PYT, getting ready for a dance, another for just in case they need music at said dance, forever alone moments, riding in the car with mah friendses, riding in the car with the fam (they tolerate Disney more), riding on the bus, cleaning, when i wanna feel classy, ya get the gist. And then, one of m'personal favorites: Church Anthems.

On this playlist I usually chuck all of the songs that when they come on make me reverent immediately. More specifically, the songs on this playlist have had a huge impact on me spiritually. They're not superly unknown songs, but they each mean an awful lot to me. The reverent atmosphere these songs allow are perrrrrrrrrfect to play when I'm studying my scriptures/ Preach My Gospel or writing in my journal.

Now I don't study as consistently as I need to be doing, so I went and tweaked the playlist to motivate myself. It's like when I need to motivate myself to work out, I'll get new socks or a headband or refold my athletic-y shorts or something. Gets me pumped haha. Basically... whatever the opposite of "out of sight out of mind" you know? So here's the first string of my church anthems. I'll link where you can listen to the versions I love :D  :

In Quiet Grove
Anothers Burden
He Hears Me
He'll Carry You
Someone Needs Your Star
We Seek After These Things
The Olive Tree
Alleluia
God's Greatest
Like the Stars (can't find this one :( sowwy it's by Jenny Phillips if you wanna look around though!)
Happily Ever After
Whole Again

Again, if you're here reading this, I love you.

ANTM

(America's Next Top Missionary)

Clever, ain't it?

This past Tuesday I went out with "the powerful, the pleasurable, the indestructible" Emily. We went and chased the last bits of daylight at two of my favorite places on this rock: Kawainui Marsh and Castles. When my life flashes before my eyes, I'd be surprised (and disappointed) if there weren't scenes at these places on the reel. I'm excited for this new chapter of my life, and I think it's cool that we were able to sort of incorporate the past chapters into this as the backdrop for these photos (unintentional, just thinkin back on it now). Growing up 'round these parts wasn't by any means glamorous, but I mean... it was pretty beautiful. Tell me not.

Anyway. Here are summa m'favorites from mine and Emily's pre-mish sesh (again with the unnecessarily necessary abbreviations. Sorr.)

Then the sky got real, real fast.

Heavenly Father sure knows what He's doin, huh? We may have been on the straight up wrong side of the island to have properly watched the sun set, but not shabby. Not shabby at all.

Em's legit, right? You needn't tell me, I'm aware of this. She has a really charming way of capturing life and the adventures it contains. If you wanna see more of what she sees, check her out here!
Thanks again Emily, you're incredible!

To anyone fighting blues this week, I love you. Remember: You're still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Missionary ;) Keep getting up, you're doing something right.
